What happens when the recipient is not home:
Every attempt is made to make your delivery on the requested day.
However, if no one is home we will attempt to leave the delivery in a secure area such as a covered porch, garage, etc. (only if we are sure they will be home that day). Hot or extreme cold, inclement weather does not allow for leaving your gift.
We will also try to leave with a close neighbor if they are willing to accept delivery. If so, we will leave a tag at the door to let them know where the delivery was left. We will also call and leave a message stating where the delivery was left.
If neither of these options are available:
We will leave a call tag and return the delivery to the store. We will also call the recipient and leave a message (if possible) requesting a return call to make arrangements for pick up or re-delivery.
We will not attempt another delivery until we hear from the recipient. We will keep trying to contact the recipient and we may call you to verify that the recipient is not out of town.
In difficult cases, additional service fees will be charged to you, due to any repeated and unsuccessful delivery attempts due to incorrect addresses or telephone numbers for the recipient.
